Dr. Zu’bi visit the “Statistics” North Region Office
H.E. The Director General of the Department of Statistics, Dr. Qassim Saeed Al Zu’bi paid a visit to the Irbid Office within a series of field visits to inspect the work progress, related activities and achievements in accordance with the executive plan in addition to meeting the statistics staff directly in the office.
During this field tour, Dr. Zu’bi inspected the work progress in the field studies in the Northern Region, especially the ongoing work in the agricultural census, the household expenditure and income surveys, the population and family health survey and the labor force survey.
Dr. Al Zu’bi asserted in his meeting with the staff on the importance of fieldwork in order to produce accurate statistical figures in the various economic, social and demographic aspects for meeting the needs of decision makers and other users working on comprehensive development policies, plans and national strategies to ensure just and equal development in various regions of Jordan.
Mr. Wasfi Mayas (head of the Northern Region Office) explained to the Director General the reality of the Office work, its activities and programs and the percentage of completed work in addition to other topics such as; future plans and requirements of the office and its staff in general.
