6.4% the Average decrease in Agricultural Producers’ Prices during

The monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics indicates a decrease in the Average Agricultural Producers’ Price Index for December 2020 by 6.4% compared with December 2019. (The Price Index reached 93.4 in December 2020 compared with 99.7 in December 2019).The most significant crops that contributed to this decrease were
Green lettuce 68.9%, cucumber 57.7%, cauliflower 51.2%, squash 36.0%, tomatoes 32.0%, olives 23.6%, colored sweet pepper 23.2%, eggplants 20.2%, spinach 18.0% and dry onion 16.8%.

( the total of their relative importance constituted 58.9% of the total indicator value).

Meanwhile, there was an increase in the price index of grapefruit 142.4%, red cabbage 68.6%, tangerine 32.7%, okra 30.4%, carrot 26.2%, clementine 25.2%, peas 25.0%, hot pepper 21.0%, orange 18.6% and pommel 15.9%.
