National exports increased by 1.2% and imports decreased by 19.7% in January 2024
The Department of Statistics issued its monthly report on external trade in Jordan, which indicates that the value of total exports during January 2024 has reached 650 million JDs, of which national exports has reached 593 million JDs and re-exports 57 million JDs, while the value of imports has reached 1,318 million JDs during the same period.
The report also indicated that total exports increased during January 2024 by 2.7% compared to the same period in 2023, national exports by 1.2% and re-exports by 21.3%, while imports decreased by (19.7%). Accordingly, the deficit in the trade balance decreased by (33.7%) during January 2024 compared to the same period in 2023.
