Imports decreased by 5.6% until the end of February 2024 compared to the same period in 2023
The Department of Statistics issued its monthly report on external trade in Jordan, which indicates that the value of total exports until the end of February of 2024 has reached 1,223 million JDs, of which national exports have reached 1,106 million JDs, and re-exports 117 million JDs, while the value of Imports have reached 2,840 million JDs during the same period. Accordingly, the deficit in the trade balance (which represents the difference between the value of total exports and the value of imports) has reached (1,617) million JDs until the end of February 2024, compared to (1,485) million JDs in the same period of 2023.
