0.2% the average increase in the prices of wholesale trade for the second quarter of 2019
Quarterly report issued by the Department of Statistics on the wholesale trade prices for the second quarter of 2019, indicates an increase in the wholesale trade prices by 0.2% to reach 98.2 in 2019 compared with 98.0 during the same period in 2018. This was a result of an increase in the prices of the group of “Sale of fuel, metals and construction materials and fitting” by 2.5% which represent 0.42 percentage points , the prices of “trade of raw agricultural materials ,cereals and food products, beverages & tobacco” by 1.2% which represent 0.36 percentage points and ” motor vehicles and their parts and motorcycles” by 1.2% this group has increased the index number by 0.19 percentage points which their relative importance constituted 20.8% ,39.2% and 19.8% respectively.
