1.61% rise in the general consumer price index for November 2021

The monthly report on the Consumer Price Index in Jordan issued by the Department of Statistics indicates that the Consumer Price Average reached 103.06 in November 2021 against 101.42 during the same month of 2020 recording an increase by 1.61%. The main commodities groups, which contributed to this increase, were “Transport” by 1.00 percentage points, “Meat & poultry” by 0.39 percentage points, “Fuel & lighting” by 0.24 percentage points and “Culture &Recreation” by 0.13 percentage point. Meanwhile, the main commodities groups which witnessed a decrease in their prices were “Vegetables, Dried and Canned Legumes” by 0.65 percentage points and, “Health” by 0.08 percentage point, “Dairy and its products and eggs” by 0.05 percentage points, and “Fruits & Nuts” by 0.04 percentage points.
