1.94% the average increase in the prices of wholesale trade of 2021
The annual report issued by the Department of Statistics on the wholesale trade prices of 2021, indicates an increase in the wholesale trade prices by 1.94% to reach 98.84 in 2021 compared with 96.96 during the same period in 2020. This was a result of an increase in the prices of the group of “sale of fuel, metal &construction materials & fittings” by 9.05% which represent 1.81 percentage points , “trade of raw agricultural materials ,cereals and food products, beverages & tobacco” by 0.52%, which represents 0.19 percentage points and the prices of “sale of garments, clothes and housing and personal commodities” by 1.38%, this group has increased the index number by 0.14 percentage points which their relative importance constituted 20.76%, 39.22% and 10.91% respectively.“
