0.8% the average increase of Industrial Producer’s Prices for March 2019
The monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics indicates an increase in the General Industrial price index for March 2019 to reach 119.91 against 119.00 for the same month of 2018 recording a growth by 0.8 %. This mainly was a result of an increase in the production of the quarrying Industries by 0.97 percentage points with a relative importance of 8.2% while there was a decrease in the Manufacturing production by 0.08 percentage points with a relative importance of 86.0% and the prices of electricity production by 0.13 percentage points with a relative importance of 5.8%.
The report indicates an increase in the industrial price index of the industrial production for March 2019 to reach 119. 91 against 118.27 compared with the previous month (Feb) of 2019 decreasing by 1.4%, this was a result of an increase of the General Industrial price index of manufacturing industries by 1.32 percentage points, which has the relative importance of 86.0%.and the price index of quarrying industries by 0.11 percentage points, which has the relative importance of 8.2%,Meanwhile, there was a decrease in the prices of electricity production by 0.05 percentage points with a relative importance of 5.8%.
