4.48% the increase of the producer’s prices index for January 2023
The monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics indicates an increase in the producer’s prices index in January 2023 to reach 135.84 against 130.02 for the same month of 2022 recorded an increase by 4.48%.This mainly was a result of an increase in the index number of the manufacturing Industries by 3.73% with a relative importance of 86.01% and the index number of quarrying industries by 23.86 % with a relative importance of 8.22% .Meanwhile, there was a decrease in the index number of the prices of electricity by 8.80 % with a relative importance of 5.76%.
