Industrial Production Quantities increase by 0.8% during February 2019
The monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics indicates an increase in the General Industrial Production Quantities for Feb 2019 to reach 85.0 against 84.4 for the same month of 2018 recording an increase by 0.8%. This mainly was a result of the increase of the production quantities of manufacturing industries by 0.28 percentage points with a relative importance of 86.0% , the quantities of electricity production by 0.48 percentage points with a relative importance of 5.8%, while the production quantities of the quarrying Industries decreased by 0.01 percentage points with a relative importance of 8.2% .
The report also indicates a decrease in the industrial index number of the industrial production quantities for Feb 2019 to reach 85.0 against 91.3 for Feb 2018 to record a decrease by 6.9%.This has resulted mainly from a decrease in the production quantities of the manufacturing Industries by 4.77 percentage points with a relative importance of 86.0%, the quantities of quarrying production by 1.59 percentage points with a relative importance of 8.2% and the decrease of quantities of electricity production by 0.56 percentage points with a relative importance of 5.8%.
