2.4% the average increase of the producer’s prices index for Apr 2019
The monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics indicates an increase in the producer’s prices index for Apr 2019 to reach 121.56 against 118.69 for the same month of 2018 recorded an increase by 2.4%. This mainly was a result of an increase in the price of the manufacturing Industries by 1.09 percentage points with a relative importance of 86.0% and the price of quarrying production by 1.40 percentage points with a relative importance of 8.2% .Meanwhile, there was a decrease in the price of electricity production by 0.07 percentage points with a relative importance of 5.8%.
