Industrial Production Index Increased by 2.07% in the first five months of 2025
The Department of Statistics issued its monthly report on the Industrial Production Index (IPI), which recorded an increase during the first five months of 2025 by 2.07% compared to the same period in 2024. On the monthly level, the IPI has increased by 0.74% in May 2025 compared to the same month in 2024, and an increase by 2.95% compared to April 2025. Note that the base year has been modified to (2018=100) instead of (2010=100).
Accordingly, the IPI for the first five months of 2025 has reached 87.29 against 85.52 for the same period in 2024. On the monthly level, the IPI of May 2025 has reached 87.95 percentage points against 87.30 for the same period in 2024, while the IPI of May 2025 has reached 87.95 against 85.43 in April 2025.
