Industrial Production Index Increases by 4.84% during September 2021
The monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics indicates an increase in the General Industrial Production Index for September 2021 to reach 90.42 against 86.24 for the same month of 2020 recording an increase by 4.84%. This mainly was a result of an increase in the production index of manufacturing industries by 5.27 percentage points with a relative importance of 86.01%, the quarrying industries production by 0.39 percentage points with a relative importance of 8.22%, while there was a decrease in the quantities of electricity production index by 0.82 percentage points with a relative importance of 5.76%.
