2.5% GDP growth rate at constant prices in the first quarter of 2022
The Department of Statistics issued the results of the preliminary quarterly estimates of the GDP at constant prices for the first quarter of 2022. The results show that the growth rate has reached 2.5% during the first quarter of 2022 compared with the first quarter of 2021.
At the level of economic sectors, preliminary estimations of some sectors have shown growth during the first quarter of 2022 compared with the first quarter of 2021. The results indicated that the Hotels and Restaurants sector has achieved the highest growth rate at 6.8% contributing with 0.08 percentage points to the achieved growth rate.
