The Producer Price Index decreased by (0.27%) In the First Third of 2025
The Department of Statistics has released its monthly report on the Producer Price Index (PPI), which recorded a slight decrease of (0.27%) in the first third of 2025 compared to same period in 2024. On a monthly level, PPI decreased by (0.75%) in April compared to the same month of 2024, and by (0.57%) compared to the previous month of the same year. It is worth noting that the base year has been updated to (2018=100) instead of (2010=100).
Accordingly, the Price index for the first third of 2025 reached 106.97 against 107.26 for the same period in 2024. On a monthly level, the index for April 2025 recorded 106.60, compared to 107.41 for the same month in 2024. The PPI for April 2025 also reached 106.60, compared to 107.21 in the previous month of the same year.
