6.2% the Average Increase in Agricultural Producers’ Prices during August 2021
The data issued by the Department of Statistics indicates an increase in the Average Agricultural Producers’ Price Index for August 2021 by 6.2% compared with August 2020. (The Price Index reached 86.5 in August 2021 compared with 81.4 in August 2020). The most significant crops that contributed to this increase were Green lettuce 114.9 %, Cactus 112.3%, Okra 84.1%, String Beans 63.5%, Jews mallow 59.7%, Green Onion 56.9%, Red lettuce 47.4%, Banana 43.2%, Tomato 37.4%, and Spinach 36.3%. The total of their relative importance constituted 64.7% of the total indicator value.
