0.01% decrease of the producer’s prices index for June 2019
The monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics indicates a decrease in the producer’s prices index for June 2019 to reach 121.55 against 121.56 for the same month of 2018 recorded a decrease by 0.01%. This mainly was a result of a decrease in the price of the manufacturing Industries by 0.77 percentage points with a relative importance of 86.0% and the price of Electricity production by 0.22 percentage points with a relative importance of 5.8% .Meanwhile, there was an increase in the price of quarrying production by 1.05 percentage points with a relative importance of 8.2%.
The report indicates a decrease in the producer’s prices index for June 2019 to reach 121.55 against 122.35 compared with the previous month (May) of 2019 leading a decrease by 0.7%. This has resulted mainly from a decrease in the price of the manufacturing Industries by 0.51 percentage points with a relative importance of 86.0% , quarrying production by 0.03 percentage points with a relative importance of 8.2% and the price of electricity production by 0.11 percentage points with a relative importance of 5.8%.
