Industrial Production Quantities decrease by 6.6% during June

The monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics indicates a decrease in the General Industrial Production Quantities for June 2018 to reach 89.3 against 95.5 for the same month of 2017 recorded a decrease by 6.6% .This mainly was a result of a decrease in the production quantities of the manufacturing Industries index by 6.84 percentage points with a relative importance of 86.0% and the quantities of electricity production index by 0.03 percentage points with a relative importance of 5.8%.Meanwhile, there was an increase in the quantities of quarrying production index by 0.29 percentage points with a relative importance of 8.2%.

The report also indicates an increase in the industrial index number of the industrial production for June 2018 to reach 89.3 against 89.0 for May 2018 to grow by 0.3%. This has resulted mainly from an increase in the production quantities of the quarrying Industries index by 0.54 percentage points with a relative importance of 8.2%.

Meanwhile, there was a decrease in the quantities of manufacturing production index by 0.27 percentage points with a relative importance of 86.0% and the quantities of electricity production index by 0.0005 percentage points with a relative importance of 5.8%.
