0.1% the average decrease of Industrial producers’ prices during June 2017 compared with the same period 2016
The monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics indicates a decrease in the General Industrial Price Index during June 2017 as compared with the same period of 2016 by 0.1%. This mainly was a result of a decrease in the quarrying industries prices by 19.1% with a relative importance of 8.2%, the electricity prices by 2.2% with a relative importance of 5.8%.While there was an increase in the manufacturing industries prices by 2.1% with a relative importance of 86.0%
On the monthly level, the report indicates a decrease in the General Industrial Prices Index for June 2017 by 1.4% as compared with the previous month (May) 2017. This has resulted mainly from a decrease in the manufacturing industries prices by 1.3% which has the importance of 86.0%, the quarrying industry prices by 2.2%, which has the relative importance of 8.2%, and the Electricity Industries Prices by 1.1%, which has the relative importance of 5.8%
Also, there was an increase of Industrial producers’ prices for the 1st half of 2017 by 3.5% compared with the same period of 2016; this mainly was a result of an increase in the manufacturing industries prices by 6.8% with the relative importance of 86.0%. while there was a decrease in of the quarrying Industries Prices by 21.6%, which has the relative importance of 8.2% and the price index of electricity by 3.3%, which has the relative importance of 5.8%.
