  • Jordan Population and Family Health Survey 2017-18

    The 2017-18 Jordan Population and Family Health Survey (JPFHS) was implemented by the Department of Statistics (DOS) from early October 2017 to January 2018. The funding for the JPFHS was provided by the government of Jordan, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). ICF provided technical assistance through The DHS Program, a USAID-funded project providing support and technical assistance
    in the implementation of population and health surveys in countries worldwide.

    The Department of Statistics (DoS) is pleased to introduce the preliminary version of the Statistical Yearbook – 2012 in line with our policy to publish the ready tables as soon as we receive them from their various sources. The Yearbook contains a complete set of demographic, social, economic and agricultural indicators and consists of twenty three chapters; each chapter comprises a set of detailed statistical tables covering an updated time series of statistical data.

    The Department of Statistics (DoS) has relied on two key sources for preparing the tables, namely: The data obtained from main sources, especially the statistical surveys carried out by the (DoS) during 2012 and previous years in addition to censuses that cover all population and social aspects in addition to various economic, agricultural and environmental sectors. The other source is the statistical data acquired from secondary sources (i.e., the administrative records of various ministries and government departments in addition to public and private institutions).

The current issue includes major socio-economic, demographic and agricultural indicators. This edition includes twenty-three chapters, each of which consists of a group of statistical tables. Covering an updated time series of data one year or more.

  • Main results of the general census of population and housing 2015

    The main results of the Population and Housing Census 2015, carried out by the Department of Statistics during the period from (30/11-10/12)-2015. This census is the sixth in a series of population censuses carried out by the DoS since 1952.
