Agricultural Census – 2017 Technical Committee Meeting

The Director General of the Department of Statistics (DoS) Dr. Qassem Saeed Al -Zoubi chaired a meeting with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture (Eng. Mahmoud Al-Jamaani) and members of the Technical Committee of the Agricultural Census to review the latest developments related to the work progress in the Agricultural Census project – 2017.
During this meeting, Dr. Al- Zoubi emphasized the necessity to review and follow up on the work plan and to activate the approved established programs to turn this national action into real success in cooperation with all concerned national institutions especially the Ministry of Agriculture.
From his side, Eng. Jamaani commended the distinguished relationship between the Ministry of Agriculture and the Department of Statistics (DoS) based on partnership that aims at preserving the national interest. He has also expressed his readiness to extend unlimited support to implement the Agricultural Census successfully.
During the meeting, detailed explanations related to the implemented field enumeration stages, administrative and electronic preparations and alternative plans to avoid any hindrances or hardships were discussed thoroughly benefiting from the totally successful electronic implementation experience of the Population and Housing Census – 2015.
