1.41% is the increase in the Wholesale Price Index for the third quarter of 2024
The Department of Statistics issued its quarterly report on the Wholesale Price Index, which recorded an increase in the overall Wholesale Price Index for the third quarter of 2024 by 1.41% compared to the same quarter of 2023, and an increase of 0.11% compared to the previous quarter of 2024. On a the accumulative level for this year, the Wholesale Price Index for the first three quarters of 2024 increased by 1.31% compared to the same period in 2023. It is worth noting that the base year has been modified to become (2018=100) instead of (2010=100).
Accordingly, the Wholesale Price Index for the third quarter of 2024 reached 107.97 points, compared to 106.47 for the same period in 2023, and 107.97 in the third quarter compared to 107.85 for the previous quarter of the same year. On the accumulative level for the first three quarters of 2024, the Wholesale Price Index reached 107.79, compared to 106.40 for the same period in 2023.
