Industrial Production Index increased by 1.31% for August 2024

The Department of Statistics issued its monthly report on the Industrial Production Index (IPI), which recorded an increase by 1.31% for August 2024 compared to the same month of 2023, and a slight increase by 0.19% compared to the previous month of July 2024. On the accumulative level for the first eight months of 2024, the IPI has slightly increased by 0.11% (less than one percentage point) compared to the same period in 2023, noting that the base year has been modified to become (2018= 100) instead of (2010=100).

Accordingly, the IPI for August 2024 has reached 90.89 percentage points against 89.71 compared to the same period in 2023, and reached 90.89 percentage points against 90.72 for the previous month of July 2024. At the accumulative level for the first eight months of 2024, the IPI has reached 87.36 compared to 87.26 for the same period in 2023.
