Department of Statistics: A decrease in the Producers’ Price Index by (0.81%) for the first half of 2024
The Department of Statistics issued its monthly report on the Producers’ Price Index (PPI) which observed a decrease in the first half of 2024 by (0.81%) compared to the same period in 2023. Additionally, there was a 0.40% increase in industrial producer prices for June 2024 (less than one percentage point) compared to June 2023, and a decrease by (0.80%) Compared to the previous month of the same year, noting that the base year was adjusted to become (2018=100) instead of (2010=100).
Accordingly, the PPI for the first half of 2024 has reached 107.34 against 108.21 for the same month of 2023. For June 2024, the index was 107.05 compared to 106.62 for June 2023, while the index for June 2024 was 107.05, compared to 107.92 for the previous month of the same year.
