22.6% Unemployment Rate during the Second Quarter of 2022
The Department of Statistics issued its quarterly report on the unemployment rate for the second quarter of 2022; the following are the main results of this survey:
Unemployment:
- The results show that the Unemployment Rate has reached (22.6%) during the second quarter of 2022 with a decrease of 2.2 percentage point from the second quarter of the 2021 and a decrease of 0.2 percentage points from the first quarter of 2022.
- The Unemployment Rate for males has reached (20.7%) during the second quarter of 2022 against (29.4%) for females. It becomes clear that the unemployment rate for males has decreased by 2.0 percentage points and has decreased for females by 3.7 percentage points compared to the second quarter of 2021.
- By comparing the Unemployment rate for the second quarter with the first quarter of 2022, it is clear that the unemployment rate for males has increased by 0.2 percentage points and has decreased for females by 2.1 percentage points.
