23.3%Unemployment Rate during the Fourth Quarter of 2021
The Department of Statistics issued its quarterly report on the unemployment rate for the fourth quarter of 2021; the following are the main results of this survey:
Unemployment:
- The results show that the Unemployment Rate has reached (23.3%) during the fourth quarter of 2021 with an increase of 0.1 percentage point from the third quarter of the same year and a decrease by 1.4 percentage points from the fourth quarter of 2020.
- The Unemployment Rate for males has reached (21.4%) during the fourth quarter of 2021 against (30.7%) for females. It becomes clear that the unemployment rate for males has decreased by 1.2 percentage points and has decreased for females by 2.1 percentage points compared to the fourth quarter of 2020.
