22.8% Unemployment Rate during the first Quarter of 2022
The Department of Statistics issued its quarterly report on the Unemployment Rate during the First quarter of 2022 : The following are the main results of this survey:
Unemployment:
- The Unemployment Rate during the first quarter of 2022 has reached (22.8%) which means a decrease by 2.2 percentage points compared with the first quarter of 2021 and a decrease by 0.5 percentage points of the fourth quarter of 2021.
- The Unemployment Rate for males has reached 20.5% during the first quarter of 2022 against (31.5) for females; the Unemployment Rate for males has decreased by 3.7 percentage points while it has increased by 3.0 percentage points for females compared with the first quarter of 2021.
- Comparing Unemployment rates of the first quarter of 2022 and the fourth quarter of 2021 ,it becomes clear that the Unemployment Rate has decreased for males by 0.9 percentage points and increased for females by 0.8 percentage points.
