21.4 Unemployment Rate for 2024
The Department of Statistics issued its annual report on the unemployment rate in Jordan for 2024, and the main results are displayed below:
- The unemployment rate reached 21.4% in 2024, which indicates a decrease of 0.6 percentage points from 22.0% in 2023.
- The unemployment rate among males reached 18.2% in 2024, compared to 32.9% for females.
- Comparing the unemployment rate (for males and females) in 2024 with the previous year of 2023, the unemployment rate for males decreased by 1.4 percentage points, while it increased among females by 2.2 percentage points.
