22.3% is the Unemployment Rate during the Third Quarter of 2023
The Department of Statistics issued its quarterly report on the Unemployment Rate during the third quarter of 2023: The following are the main results of this survey:
Unemployment:
- The Unemployment Rate during the third quarter of 2023 has reached 22.3% with a decrease of 0.8 percentage points compared with 23.1% for the third quarter of 2022, and the rate remained stable compared to the second quarter of this year.
- The Unemployment Rate for males has reached 19.8% during the third quarter of 2023 against 31.7% for females
- The Unemployment Rate for males has decreased by 0.7 percentage points while it has decreased by 1.4 percentage points for females compared with the third quarter of 2022.
- Comparing Unemployment rates of the third quarter of 2023 with the previous quarter of the same year, it is clear that the unemployment rate has decreased for males by 0.2 percentage points and increased for females by 0.8 percentage points.
