21.5% is the unemployment rate for the third quarter of 2024
The Department of Statistics has released its quarterly report on employment and unemployment in the Kingdom for the third quarter of 2024. The following is a review of the most important results:
Unemployment:
- The unemployment rate reached (21.5%) during the third quarter of 2024 with a decrease of 0.8 percentage points compared to the third quarter of 2023
- The unemployment rate for males reached (18.3%) during the third quarter of 2024, a decrease of 1.5 percentage points compared to the third quarter of 2023.
- The female unemployment rate reached (33.3%) during the third quarter of 2024, an increase by 1.6 percentage points compared to the third quarter of 2023.
- Comparing the unemployment rate for the third quarter of 2024 with the second quarter of 2024, it becomes clear that the unemployment rate decreased for males by 0.6 percentage points and increased for females by 2.3 percentage points.
