21.89% the average increase of the Industrial Producer’s Price Index for May
The monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics indicates an increase in the Industrial Producer’s Price Index for May 2021 to reach 122.73 against 100.69 for the same month of 2020 recorded an increase by 21.89%. The main commodities groups which contributed to this increase were the price index of the Manufacturing Industries by 21.46 percentage points with a relative importance of 86.01% , the price index of Quarrying industries by 0.71 percentage points with a relative importance of 8.22% and the prices index of Electricity by 0.28 percentage points with a relative importance of 5.76%.
