13.97% the average increase of the producer’s prices index for 2022
The monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics indicates an increase in the producer’s prices index for 2022 to reach 141.72 against 124.34 for the same period of 2021 recording an increase by 13.97%. This mainly was a result of an increase in the index number of the prices of the manufacturing Industries by 13.90 % with a relative importance of 86.01% and the index number of the prices of the quarrying industries by 34.17 % with a relative importance of 8.22%.
