3.00% the average increase of the producer’s prices index for February 2023
The monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics indicates an increase in the producer’s prices index in February 2023 to reach 137.77 against 133.76 for the same month of 2022 recorded an increase by 3.00%. This mainly was a result of an increase in the index number of the prices of the manufacturing Industries by 2.34 % with a relative importance of 86.01% and the index number of the prices of quarrying industries by 19.57 % with a relative importance of 8.22%. Meanwhile the index number of the prices of the electricity decreased by 8.33 % with a relative importance of 5.76%.
