1.4% the average increase of Industrial Producer’s Prices for Jan 2019
The monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics indicates an increase in the General Industrial price index for Jan 2019 to reach 118.62 against 116.97 for the same month of 2018 recorded a growth by 1.4%. This mainly was a result of an increase in the production quantities of the manufacturing Industries by 0.21 percentage points with a relative importance of 86.0% and the quantities of quarrying production by 1.33 percentage points with a relative importance of 8.2% .Meanwhile, there was a decrease in the quantities of electricity production by 0.13 percentage points with a relative importance of 5.8%.
The report indicates a decrease in the industrial price index of the industrial production for Jan 2019 to reach 118.62 against 121.43 compared with the previous month (Dec) of 2018 leading a decrease by 2.3%. This has resulted mainly from a decrease in the manufacturing Industries prices by 2.88 percentage points with a relative importance of 86.0%, Meanwhile, there was an increase in the quarrying industries prices by 0.18 percentage points with a relative importance of 8.2% and the electricity prices by 0.38 percentage point with a relative importance of 5.8%.
