Producer Price Index (PPI) Decreased by (0.44 %) in the first half of 2025
The Department of Statistics (DOS) issued its monthly report on the Producer Price Index (PPI), which observed a decrease by (0.44%) (less than one percentage point) in the first half of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024. On the monthly level, the PPI had decreased by (0.18%) in June 2025 compared to the same month in 2024, and increased by 0.41% compared to May 2025. Note that the base year was adjusted to (2018=100) instead of (2010=100).
Thus, the PPI of the first half of 2025 had reached 106.86 against 107.34 for the same period in 2024. On the monthly level, the PPI of June 2025 had reached 106.86 against 107.05 in June 2024 and 106.42 in May 2025.
