National exports increase by 4.0% and Imports decrease by 0.3% during the first third of 2023
The monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics indicates that the value of total exports has reached 2,682.3 million JDs during the first third of 2023 with an increase by 4.0% compared with the same period of 2022, and the increase in the value of total exports during the first third of the year 2023 has reached 2,872.8 million JDs, an increase of 2.3% compared to the same period in 2022. The value of re-exports has reached 190.5 million JDs during the first third of 2023, a decrease of 17.2% compared to the same period of 2022. As for the imports, their value has reached 5,812.9 million JDs during the first third of 2023, with a decrease of 0.3% compared to the same period of 2022.
The deficit in the trade balance, which represents the difference between the value of imports and the total value of exports, has reached 2,940.1 million JDs, therefore; the deficit has decreased during the first third of 2023 by 2.7% compared with the same period of 2022.
