Index Number of the Industrial Production decreased by 4.60 % in April 2023
The monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics indicates a decrease in the index number of the Industrial Production for April 2023 to reach 88.21 against 92.47 for the same month of 2022 recording a decrease of 4.60%. This mainly was a result of the decrease in the index number of manufacturing industries by 5.97% with a relative importance of 86.01%, while there was an increase in the index number of quarrying industries by 3.28% with a relative importance of 8.22% and the index number of electricity production by 5.82% with a relative importance of 5.76%.
