Industrial Production Index increased by 0.90% in February 2023
The monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics indicates an increase in the Industrial Production Index for February 2023 to reach 85.84 against 85.07 for the same month of 2022 recording an increase by 0.90%. This mainly was a result of an increase in the index of manufacturing industries by 0.07% with a relative importance of 86.01%, quarrying industries by 5.52% with a relative importance of 8.22%. Meanwhile, there was a decrease in the production of electricity by 7.10% with a relative importance of 5.76%.
