National Exports Grew by 5.8% During the First Five Months of 2026
The Department of Statistics (DoS) issued its monthly report on external trade, which recorded an increase in the national exports during the first five months of 2026 by 5.8% to reach JOD 3,796 million compared to the same period of 2025. In addition, the value of re-exports increased by 31.3% to reach JOD 1,387 million. Consequently, the total export value reached JOD 5,183 million, recording an increase of 11.6%. Besides, the imports decreased by (1.0%) to reach JOD 8,194 million during the first five months of 2026. Accordingly, the trade balance deficit decreased from JOD 3,632 million to JOD 3,011 million, a decrease by (17.1%) (i.e. a decrease of JOD (621) million compared to the same period in 2025.
