National exports grew by 1.6% during the First Quarter (Q1) of 2026
The Department of Statistics (DoS) issued its monthly report on external trade, showing that the value of national exports increased during Q1 2026by 1.6% to reach JOD 2,129 million, while the value of re-exports decreased by (7.1%) to reach JOD 561 million. Accordingly, the value of total exports reached JOD 2,690 million, recording a slight decrease of (0.4%) compared to the same period in 2025. Also, the imports decreased by (2.9%) to reach JOD 4,597 million in Q1 2026. Consequently, the trade balance deficit reached JOD 1,907 million, a decrease of JOD (128) million i.e. (6.3%) compared to the same period in 2025.
