1.96% is the Increase of the Consumer Price Index for May 2023

The monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics indicates an increase in the Consumer Price Index for May 2023 to reach 108.62 against 106.53 for the same month of 2022 recording an increase by 1.96%. This mainly was a result of the increase of Rents by 5.17%, Transportation by 2.45%, Dairy products and Eggs by 7.56%, Health by 6.18% and Culture and entertainment by 9.27%.
