5.34% the Average increase of the General Consumer Price Index for July 2022
The monthly report on the Consumer Price Index in Jordan issued by the Department of Statistics indicates that the General Consumer Price Index reached 107.92 in July 2022 against 102.45 during the same month of 2021 recorded an increase by 5.34%. The main commodities groups, which contributed to this increase, were “Fuel & lighting” by 30.56 percentage points, “Transport” by 6.41 percentage points, “Rents” by 4.48 percentage points, “Culture &Recreation” by 12.92 percentage points and “Health ” by 6.85 percentage points.
