The Department of Statistics issued its monthly report on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for August 2026, whereby the inflation rate for the first eight months of 2026 reached 2.20% compared to the same period in 2025, indicating that inflation levels remained within moderate ranges during 2026. On the monthly level, the inflation rate during August 2026 reached 2.66% compared to August 2025, and recorded a decrease of (0.25%) compared to July 2026, indicating a decline during August 2026.
