Building Permits Issued in Jordan Increased by 29.3% During March 2026
The Department of Statistics (DoS) issued its monthly report on construction activity and building permits in Jordan, whereby the total areas of licensed buildings reached 848,000 m2 during March 2026 compared to 656, 000 m2 in the same period of 2025, indicating an increase of 29.3% as illustrated in figure (1). Also, the total area of buildings licensed in Q1 2026 reached 2.273 million m2 compared to 2.173 million m2 for the same period in 2025, indicating an increase of 4.6%. Furthermore, the total building licenses issued in Jordan reached 6,240 licenses during Q1 2026 compared to 5,202 licenses during the same period in 2025, indicating an increase of 20%.
