Building Permits Issued in Jordan Increased by 19.6% in January 2026
The Department of Statistics (DoS) issued its monthly report on the construction activity and building permits in Jordan during January 2026. The total number of building permits issued in Jordan reached 2,296 permits in January 2026 compared to 1,920 permits during the same period in 2025, indicating an increase by 19.6%. Also, the total area of licensed buildings reached 741,000 m2 compared to 839,000 m2 in January 2025, indicating a decrease of (11.7%).
