4.99% the Average increase of the Inflation Rate for 2022
The monthly report on inflation in Jordan issued by the Department of Statistics indicates that the Consumer Price Average (Inflation) reached 108.19 in November 2022 against 103.06 for November 2021 recorded an increase by 4.99%. The main commodities groups, which contributed to this increase, were “Fuel & lighting” by 35.32 percentage points, “Rents” by 4.48 percentage points,
“Transport” by 4.63 percentage points, “Dairy and its products and eggs” by 7.67 percentage points, and “Culture &Recreation” by 10.51 percentage points.
On the accumulative level, the Consumer Price index average for the first eleven months of 2022 has increased to reach 106.68 against 102.36 for the same period of 2021 recorded an increase by 4.22%. The main commodities groups which contributed to this increase were
“Fuel & lighting” by 24.66 percentage points, “Transport” by 5.73 percentage points, “Rents” by 2.38 percentage points, “Culture &Recreation” by 9.50 percentage points and “Vegetables, Dried and Canned Legumes” by 6.57 percentage points.
