The General Index of Industrial Production Quantities of August 2022 Decreased by 0.53%
The monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics indicates a decrease in the General Index of Industrial Production Quantities for August 2022 to reach 93.08 against 93.58 for the same month of 2021 recording a decrease by 0.53 %. This mainly was a result of a decrease in the production index of manufacturing industries by 1.16% with a relative importance of 86.01%. Meanwhile, there were an increase in the index of quarrying industries production quantities by 3.13% with a relative importance of 8.22% and in the index of electricity production quantities by 3.81% with a relative importance of 5.76%.
