6.3% the average decrease of the producer’s prices index for November 2019
The monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics indicates a decrease in the producer’s prices index for November 2019 to reach 117.3 against 125.2 for the same month of 2018 recorded a decrease by 6.3%. This mainly was a result of a decrease in the price of the manufacturing Industries by 5.66 percentage points with a relative importance of 86.0% and the price of quarrying production by 0.71 percentage points with a relative importance of 8.2% .Meanwhile, there was an increase in the price of electricity production by 0.12 percentage points with a relative importance of 5.8%.
The report indicates a decrease in the producer’s prices index for November 2019 to reach 117.3 against 119.2 compared with the previous month (October) of 2019 leading a decrease by 1.5%. This has resulted mainly from a decrease in the price of the manufacturing Industries by 1.24 percentage points with a relative importance of 86.0% , quarrying production by 0.22 percentage points with a relative importance of 8.2% and the price of electricity production by 0.08 percentage points with a relative importance of 5.8%.
During the first eleven months of 2019 we notice that, there was a decrease in the producer’s prices index to reach 119.66 against 121.25 for the same period of 2018 to record a decrease by 1.3%.This mainly has resulted from a decrease in the price of manufacturing production by 1.80 percentage points with a relative importance of 86.0% and the price of electricity production by 0.09 percentage points with a relative importance of 5.8%. Meanwhile there was an increase in the price of the quarrying Industries by 0.58 percentage points with a relative importance of 8.2%
