0.22% is the decrease of the Consumer Price Index for May 2020
The monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics indicates a decrease in the Consumer Price Index for May 2020 to reach 100.39 against 100.61 for the same month of 2019 recorded a decrease by 0.22%. This mainly was a result of a decrease in the price of Transportation by 4.27 percentage points, Fuels and Lighting by 2.35 percentage points, Clothing by 0.11 percentage points, Oils and Fats by 0.03 Percentage points and Other Services by 0.004 percentage points. Meanwhile, there was an increase in the price of Vegetables and Legumes Dry and Canned by 1.24 percentage points, Dairy Products and Eggs by 1.06 percentage points and Fruits and Nuts by 0.69 percentage points.
