18.21% the average increase of the Producer’s Price Index for June 2022
The monthly report issued by the Department of Statistics indicates an increase in the Producer’s Price Index for June 2022 to reach 146.02 against 123.53 for the same month of 2021 recorded an increase by 18.21%. The main commodities groups which contributed to this increase were the price index of the Manufacturing Industries by 19.67 percentage points with a relative importance of 86.01% and the price index of Quarrying industries by 25.94 percentage points with a relative importance of 8.22%. Meanwhile, there was a decrease in the prices index of Electricity by 10.08 percentage points with a relative importance of 5.76%.
